Haruki Ogawa graduated from the Tokyo Zokey University in 2012 with a Bachelor in the Painting Dep. Up to date, his works have been exhibited in various galleries and institutions such as The National Art Center, Tokyo, Artlab Hashimoto, and The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma.
Ogawa’s works come across as an eruption of colours, lines, painting material and, eventually, emotion. He often uses the metaphor of chemical reaction to describe his work: as if the mixing of particular substances, colours or ideas lead to an intense and unstoppable discharge of foam, gas, light, heat and unknown visual essences.
In 2013, he had his most recent solo exhibition entitled “The Accumulation Spreads” at the Frantic Gallery, Tokyo.
