Ulang, is a Malay word which means To Repeat or To Return in English. It reflects how the pieces move, always returning to its point of origin. The movements ebb away at the materials they come in contact with. Each piece features a different movement, which eludes at the idea of perfection(metal scrubs), change (spear) and eort (axe). They can be viewed either as single pieces or collectively as a sum of these ideas. As single pieces, they reect an element or a quality needed to break away from a vicious cycle. Together they suggest that a collective effort is needed so that one does not return to their point of origin. - Maisarah Kamal
