Stacks (with Anu) reimagines moving images as a dynamic lattice of patterns, and as threading material, weaving together archival footage, found materials, and generative visual elements. The work conceptually parallels the hidden structures of particle physics: repetition and rhythm in the video loops echo the cyclic, often imperceptible forces shaping the universe. Each frame functions as a node in a system, where temporal layering and algorithmic reassembly act as proxies for data translation—turning discrete inputs into a perceptible, immersive experience.
The project foregrounds collaboration, both with human and non-human systems: digital processes, algorithmic recombination, and Anu, “Anonymous Network Unit” function as participants in shaping outcomes. In the current climate crisis, the approach mirrors the translation of complex experimental data into sensory phenomena, creating a bridge between archival memory, digital abstraction, and the invisible forces underlying the physical world.
